MYO Queen Street
Make Your Own - Endless choices, great value

Located at 359 Queen Street, Brisbane is a great little spot to grab lunch when you are in town.

The MYO concept is simple yet ingenious. On entering the store, Mom and I grabbed a tray, chose our meals, taking notice of all of the freshly baked bread and people assembling their sandwiches, wraps or rolls from the 60 fresh gourmet sandwich fillings.

This was including but not limited to deli-style meats and cheeses, and condiments, as they worked their way around the servery.

For those who prefer their sandwiches toasty, the instore sandwich presses allow customers to heat up their sandwich, wrap or roll, just the way they like, I felt like comfort food, something to cling to the ribs. I opted for a simple container of potato bake and lasagne, while my Mom had an outstanding selection of salads in hers.

The salads are created in much the same way as the sandwiches. After choosing the meal size (either regular or large), customers go on to fill their bowl with as few, or as many, fresh ingredients as they choose, making the perfect salad, to their taste and desire.

Alternatively, there is a most extensive and creative range of pre-prepared salads made fresh daily for customers to choose from. The impressive list includes traditional favourites such as potato, Greek, Caesar, Waldorf, coleslaw, nicoise, and continental pasta salad.

Each fresh and high-quality filling is accompanied by detailed nutritional information giving customers the 411 on the fat content, calories, and carbohydrates within.

This is making MYO particularly popular with dieters, calorie counters, and those with specific dietary needs.

The portions are great value for money, especially in the city and the services are impeccable. Always with a friendly smile, one that is hard not to catch as you pay for your creation.

Both my Mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunches there and I certainly intend to return.

I always visit MYO if I travel to Perth for work. Just disappointed there isn't any stores in NSW.
