The Magnets - Naked 80's is playing as part of The Adelaide Fringe Festival 2019. If you love 80s music and talented male singers then this is the show for you. This British a cappella group of five young spunky men celebrates the 80s in sexy style. Playing at Gluttony: Wonderland Spiegeltent from February 16th 2019 until March 17th 2019.
The Magnets are made up of members Callum McIntosh, Nicholas Girard, Michael Conway, Stevie Hutchinson and Ross Hunter from England, Scotland and Wales. Unlike anything I've seen before these boys don't use any instruments. Their sound is a cappella and beatboxing to create something incredible.
Nicholas Girard stole the show by using the audience as his beatboxing machine. Spilting the audience into three groups and giving each group a sound, he created an incredible sound by simply pointing at each group.
If you've never seen The Magnets you are missing out. The show on Tuesday 26th February had a lot of repeat fans and new fans who couldn't wait to tell their friends. This show doesn't just celebrate powerful male acts from the 80s but strong females that stole the stage as well. The boys tackled songs by Blondie, Whitney Houston, Aerosmith & Run DMC, Prince and more. They try to add as many bands and singers as possible into their show and the finale ended with the whole tent in a huge dance party.
4 Stars - This show features amazing vocals, beatboxing, creative dance moves & a lot of energy. Don't miss your chance to see The Magnets tear up the stage this fringe season.
