A mere park is magically transformed for play
If you're feeling the four walls close in while staying at home, but can't commit to a regular playgroup, or just want to head out for a different activity, then look no further than The Magic Yellow Bus.
Quite possibly the best offering for young children and their carers, the Magic Yellow Bus is a truck that drives up to a different park each week day and unloads activities and play stations - all for free.
There are staff who run activities; this week there was arm painting and the children queued patiently in anticipation.
Mainly, it's a place that parents can mix or just play with their kids and some different toys in a new location.
They even set up painting, so if you're one of those parents that can be bothered with the clean up at home - this is the place to go.
The Magic Yellow Bus runs Monday to Friday, from 9.30 am - 12.30pm, except if raining, too windy or too hot. You can call 9335 2222, after 8.30.
The Magic Yellow Bus will be found at the following locations:
Monday - Petersham Park, Petersham
Tuesday - Tillman Park Tempe and McNeilly Park, Marrickville
Wednesday - Camperdown Memorial Rest Park and Steel Park, Marrickville
Thursday - Enmore Park, Marrickville
Friday - Johnson Park , Dulwich Hill
So if you want a great morning of fun in the fresh air, head on down to a park near you and let the Magic Yellow Bus work its wonders...
