The community focused event has been going for the past 3 years with a new theme being chosen each year. This year's theme of 'The Mad Hatter's Tea Party' will see an assortment of Alice in Wonderland themed events and food such as gourmet cupcakes, people in fancy dress, face painting (who doesn't love a Chesire cat smile painted on their face) and much more.
The event is entirely FREE for people to attend. It was started as a way of getting the local residents and people from surrounding areas to come and enjoy the beauty of Brookfield and take part in the vibrant community feel that is created when an event such as this is put together.
Other offerings for the event include a sausage sizzle, coffee caravan, fairy floss, Geckoes Wildlife presentations, craft tables and colouring in competitions.
The Mad Hatter's Tea Party will be held on Sunday 28 July at Brookfield from 10am - 1pm. Image courtesy of Mad Hatter's Tea Party Facebook page.
An event organised by a produce store and veterinary surgery ensures that there is an animal friendly program on offer as well. There'll be 'Kid & Dog' races, 'Best Dressed Pet' competitions as well as special visits from the Greyhound Adoption Program, Riding with the Disabled, 'The Pet Chalet', 'Family Dog Fun & Training' and 'Just Walking the Dog'.
Monies raised on the day will be donated to selected charitable causes.
Whether you have a big or small pet, they're all welcome this Sunday 28 July at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party.
