The Lust List – Book Review
The Lust List is a sophisticated colouring book for grown-ups by Sally Spratt. The author was discovered on her popular Instagram account by drawing objects with the philosophy of "If I can't have them, I'll draw them."
The book has one page for each black and white line drawing. The drawings include dancing shoes, perfume bottles, digital cameras, lipsticks, ice creams, dresses, flowers and luxury watches.
There are drawings of typical objects or streetscapes featuring Paris, London, New York, Milan and Sydney.
I'm a huge fan of mindful colouring in but it helps to splurge on a set of good quality colouring pencils or pens in a range of colours. I'm fond of colouring in with a clipboard in front of the television.
The benefits of colouring-in include your brain entering a meditative flow state and lowering stress and anxiety levels. By focusing on the present it can help you achieve mindfulness. I love unplugging from technology and colouring in can be done by anyone, not just artists. It's also a portable hobby that is easy to take with you wherever you travel and is perfect for filling in time while waiting or sitting on public transport.
The Lust List is the perfect treat to buy for yourself to take with you on your upcoming holidays.
The Lust List is available in paperback from your favourite bookseller.
