Please note this event is postponed Looking for the ultimate springtime weekend escape where you can indulge your senses with glorious gardens, fabulous food and superb scenery?The Burra Districts Open Gardens & Spring Garden Expo has you covered with two glorious jam-packed days where you can explore 13 spectacular open gardens, take part in creative workshops, enjoy enlightening talks with special guests, browse local artwork and unwind with great live music!To make the most of your visit, book a seat for The Lunch on Sunday 20 October 2019 in the historic and beautiful St Mary's Church Hall. This is an exclusive dining experience, showcasing hearty Italian-style cooking with an Australian twist!Celebrated Italian chef Ezio Pozzobon has crafted a four-course menu which celebrates the culinary delights of the Goyder region.Tuck into generous platters of mouth-watering saltbush lamb complemented with home-grown vegetables, including sun-ripened pumpkin roasted over coals to make a beautiful risotto, and cold set kale, slowly braised then served on local baguettes with homegrown chillies. There will also be tantalising salads, rich compound butter and more. Dessert will be a surprising walk down memory lane.Mary's Church Hall will be decorated in a country rustic theme, with herbs and plants from the garden, and guests will enter to soft tones of beautiful music as they browse wine from an exclusive boutique winery.Alongside the hall is the beautiful and historic St Mary's Church. The service is at 10am, should you feel inclined. Take the opportunity to have a look inside and admire the very lovely stained-glass work and glorious organ.The Lunch is set to be the perfect afternoon and a great way to end your Open Gardens & Spring Garden Expo experience!
