An amazing adaptation of the best selling book by Nicholas Sparks. It is amazing how a photo can be a powerful lucky charm for U.S. soldier serving in Iraq. Since opening day, the crowds have come out in full force to enjoy The Lucky One; a romantic drama that is worth going out to the cinemas to see. Expect the unexpected - this film is definitely a classic.
The Lucky One is U.S. Marine Sergeant, Logan Thibault (played by Zac Efron), who managed to survive three different stints in Iraq. Logan believes a found photo of a stranger (later revealed to be Beth - played by Taylor Schilling) kept him alive. The photo was intended for Beth's brother, who did not survive the war.
After his third tour of duty, Logan immediately sets out on a quest to find the woman he believes saved his life. He takes a job washing and walking dogs at a kennel run by her and her grandmother. It is his well trained German Shepherd (Zeus) who helped him get the job. Alas, soon they fall in love while Beth's ex-husband (a Sheriff), makes things difficult for Logan, despite his son, Ben, liking him so much.
