I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

Dine al fresco undercover
The building that houses The Lucky was renovated in 2014 restoring the 1800s facade whilst creating a modern, industrial chic dining and entertainment space.
A favourite place for chilling out is the central courtyard, although covered it has an al fresco feel with garden walls and outdoor style seating. After enjoying a Sunday at the beach the live music from 5 pm is a great accompaniment to some casual dining and drinking.
There are plenty of options for meals, many of which are based on Southern American Barbecue flavours. The smoked brisket burger won best burger at the 2015 AHA NSW Awards for Excellence. The burger was tasty and filling as was the chilli con carne nachos. There are also gluten free, vegetarian and children's menu items. Just add music and craft beer for guaranteed happiness.
During the week there is a daily special and $5 beer and wine during Lucky Hour 4-6 pm. They also have a Movie Meal Deal for $25 with a choice of 5 meals and a movie ticket at the nearby cinema and live music on 8-11 pm on Fridays & Saturdays, 5-8 pm on Sundays. The Lucky does not feel like a regular pub and caters for a variety of people. It is no wonder they won five awards at the 2015 AHA NSW Awards for Excellence.
