The Lucas 2019 Rose – Retro Wines – McLaren Vale

I don't know about you but I love a good Rose. Especially one from McLaren Vale one of Australia's most renowned wine regions. Rose is very much back in vogue and we have been on the hunt for a great Rose from McLaren Vale. On our travels, we came across The Lucas by Retro Wines and it just blew us away.

It has a beautiful strawberry and cream flavour on the palate with hints of rose petals. It isn't too sweet or dry and is well balanced. It has layered aromas of berries and a creamy mouth feel. It would match well with seafood dishes but also something with a little spice.



We enjoyed our tasting of Retro Wines The Lucas in beautiful Normanville, outside the Surf Life Saving Club. What a sensational slice of paradise known affectionately to locals as 'Normy'. It is a popular seaside resort town with long sandy beaches and situated only an hour from Adelaide. Located near the great McLaren Vale wine region. It has a beautiful white sandy beach that you can stroll along to nearby Carrickalinga or Lady Bay.

A perfect place to share a bottle of The Lucas Rose as you watch the sun set. Plenty of social distance available.
