Cale & Co from Nova Radio Station present ' The Love Shack' as part of The Adelaide Fringe Festival at Hamilton Boulevard at Adelaide Showground from 6pm - 11pm on Friday 23rd February and Saturday 24th February 2018. This event is for singles, couples and groups and has something for everyone.

The bar was stocked with flowing drinks, although they did run out for Canadian Club by 8pm. The Ferris Wheel was lit up in lights and the singles were flooding in. As guests entered the Showgrounds, they are given a glow bracelet in one of three colours; red for taken, green for single, ready to mingle and yellow for try me, maybe.

The first stage show was 'Blind Date', where a single volunteered to sit behind a board and three singles of the opposite sex sat on the other side. They were asked questions and then the single picked a date based on their answers, having no idea what they looked like.

Following this was 'Live Tinder' one single - the swiper stood at the front of the stage while the opposite sex moved behind a Tinder screen and they were asked one question. Then the swiper chose whether to swipe right and have them take one of three seats in hope of winning a date or swipe left and end up in the ball-pit. It was all in good fun and one couple who matched spent the entire night hanging out together and even headed for the photobooth together. The Photobooth was $5 a group and was filled with silly props that ended with a strip of funny pictures to take home.

The third stage show was 'Couples Show,' where a couple volunteered from the audience to go on-stage and were asked questions that they should know the answer to, but for every correct answer they got a point. Sadly, the couple they chose had only been together three months and didn't get enough points, so they were offered a sudden death round where women of the audience were asked to come on stage and the male of the couple was blindfolded and asked to feel the bottoms of the women and find his partner's bum.

Throughout the night, singles lined up for the Ferris Wheel in one of two lines - one for males and one for females. This part of the evening was speed dating, where love was literally in the air. Some guests even made some money throughout the night working the kissing booth to give away kisses at their choice of cost. Two blondes offered one male $50 to kiss them both but his female friend quickly put an end to that.

Isaac Lomman took to the stage next with his "Hypnotising Singles Show" He asked for five females and five males to join him on-stage as tried to put them under hypnosis. Only six fell completely under and became the stars of the show. Lomman's show is all in good fun - no one had to do anything they would regret the next day, although two single strangers did awake hugging after Lomman convinced them it was minus two degrees.

A single woman became obsessed with smelling the guy next to her, while one male found his true love in the audience. The audience had a good laugh and the stars come out of hypnosis feeling like they had a massage, so everybody got something out of the experience.

The last stage show was 'Singles Show', where four women picked four men from the audience and they teamed up to win some prizes. Round one consisted of popping a balloon without using their hands. Round two was a banana eating competition where it was placed in both mouths and their mouths met in the middle. Round three featured the male giving the female a lap-dance. The winners of this show won $150 dinner voucher and the runners-up got a Segway Tour of Adelaide, however, the contingency was that they must use the prize with their partner.

Guests continued to participate for prizes throughout the night, enjoyed the Ferris Wheel and danced in the Silent Disco. As the night came to a close, many singles left with another single's phone number. A very successful event where everyone had a lot of fun. 5/5 Stars. An unforgettable night and plenty to see and do. Defiantly an Adelaide Fringe favourite.
