Kingston Arts plays host to the magical tale of The Little Prince this June, presented by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre.

The delightful stage show is adapted from the hugely successful children's book of the same name; The Little Prince by French aristocrat, writer and poet, Antoine de Saint-Exupér.

The story follows a little prince whose curiosity leads him on a journey far away from his tiny planet and across the universe. Along the way, he meets some unusual characters, who seem to hold strange ideals on their life's purpose.

The little prince becomes stranded on planet Earth; will he find his way back home?

The Little Prince is one of the most widely read books in history, with over 140 million copies sold worldwide, and translated in more than 250 languages.

Now you can see the sweet tale in an intricate puppetry performance. Associate Director of Spare Parts and director of the production, Michael Barlow, said that The Little Prince reminds us of the magic of imagination.

"The work speaks strongly about what really matters in life – it isn't expensive or flashy things that have the greatest value, it's the people we form relationships with" he said.

There can be no better production crew than the Spare Parts Puppet Theatre; the Australian champions in puppetry. Founded in 1981, Spare Parts Puppet Theatre has entertained audiences across Australia and overseas. Over three decades, the Perth based company has performed to over 60,000 people all over the world.

Now Spare Parts Puppet Theatre will bring exquisitely hand-carved puppets to life at Kingston City Hall on Thursday 9 June 2016. The much loved classic characters — Little Prince, Rose, the Fox and the Snake — are sure to charm young audiences and fascinate the grown-ups.

is recommended for children age 4 plus, and will run for 50 minutes (no interval). Don't miss this beautiful little production; book your tickets HERE .

If you can't make it on the 9 June, The Little Prince by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre will also appear at Frankston Arts Centre on 21 June, 2016.
