The story of The Little Mermaid follows Ariel, a young mermaid who is willing to give up her life as princess of the sea for her true love - human prince. Ariel has five older sisters, all a year apart, but ever since her mother passed away she feels disconnected to the sea. She spends her days with a tropical fish called Flounder, a seagull called Scuttle and a crab called Sebastian. She enjoys collecting human things and often swims to the surface to watch the humans.
It's her dream to live in their world and when evil sea witch Ursula finds out, she agrees to help Ariel by making her human for three days, but this comes at a cost, she will have to give up her voice and if Prince Eric doesn't kiss her before sunset on the third day, her soul will be Ursula's forever.
It's the tale of true love, great friendship and a family who will always stand beside you no matter what.
