I love slow travel, slow food and discovering new adventures and delicious regional food in new locations. I'm on an indulgent quest and I'd love you to follow at www.walkeatshare.wordpress.com

Small place, big breakfasts
Just around the corner from bustling Brunswick Street in New Farm, you'll find The Little Larder.

The decor is hipster-industrial with polished concrete floors, whirring fans, graffiti art and event posters everywhere.

They are open 7 days for almost all-day breakfast and lunch from 10am. You can choose from an Omnivore Breaky (eggs on Turkish bread with bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, chorizo and a hash brown) for $21 or a Herbivore version (eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, avocado, feta and a hash brown on rye) for $19.

As well as great coffee, there's smoothies, fresh juices, milkshakes and lots of tea varieties.

If you are after a small snack or a sweet treat, there are sweet and savoury muffins, cakes and, of course, guilt-free protein balls.

I tried a slightly guilt-inducing savoury muffin, but fortunately it came with a healthy-fresh salad and I washed it down with an uber-healthful juice combining beetroot, carrot, celery and zingy ginger.

You can choose to inside or out. If you are outside you may see a hen. The Little Larder appears to have a resident hen.
