I have heard through media so many times of late, that we are seeing the light at the end of the COVID tunnel. We all certainly hope this is correct or at least the community is in a better place to understand the disease and live with it. With that in mind, people are coming out to enjoy community events, while also getting back into the swing of attending local markets and the like.



The Local Village Markets are launching , which is a bespoke foodies and makers market by the lake. Open each Saturday from 9.00am until 1.30pm, it is a place where you can take the whole family out for a morning's activity and make the time to have lunch there as well.

This is a carefully curated market, supporting local and regional growers, chefs and artisans as well as the arts and entertainment sectors, offering live music, dance performance and featured artists. Market stalls include a diverse array of multicultural foods, much loved beverages, stunning floral arrangements, local made art, fashion, photography, homewares, artisan bread, pastries, seafood, smoke charcuterie, truffles, meats, puppy treats and much more.



The market will also run regular free community events such as multicultural workshops and activities for the children. You can say this is not just a market selling produce and wares, but a place where everyone can get together, and meet new friends while supporting local talent.

The Little Burley Market is situated next to Canberra's most popular recreational area and surrounded by the #gsc .tab=0">National Triangle, consisting of the National Library, Questacon, the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery and many tourist attractions. Take a stroll along the lake and enjoy all Canberra has to offer.
