Linen as art
A new exhibition in the Town Hall Gallery in Hawthorn is about to open. The immersive installation, created by Melbourne artist Louise Saxton, utilises fabrics collected by Saxton over 30 years. Saxton has refashioned embroidery and lace from domestic linen into several major pieces, including two and three-dimensional assemblages.

Saxton will also host two Walk and Talk sessions, on 27th October and 21st November, where viewers can gain a deeper understanding of her artworks. These are free, but bookings are required.
