After visiting the Maroochydore Rotary Park on The Esplanade, Cotton Tree I stumbled across . is an invention supported by the Variety Liberty Swing Program to bring the joy of a swing to every heart. What a brilliant idea.

People in a wheelchair can still enjoy swinging; in fact these swings are currently located in 7 countries around the world, the Liberty Swing is accessed by a special key to ensure the safety of the person on the swing, the carer and the other people in the park.

If you would like to use the Liberty Swing at the Maroochydore Rotary Park you can access the key by visiting the Maroochydore Library at 42 Sixth Avenue, Cotton Tree from Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm.

Program was first pioneered in Australia and provides corporate businesses and philanthropists the opportunity to help their local community by donating and supplying a Liberty Swing in new locations in different parts of the world.
