Have you ever wondered what would happen if Brisbane and Latin America collided and formed one nation? I can tell you right now the result would be something much like the Latin Cave hosted by Rumba Latina events. It is a night where a traditional Brisbane club is transformed into a Latin Cave of wonder. And it sure works a treat.

This unique little combination takes place at Brisbane night/music 633 Ann , located at 633 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley. Ann Street is a short walk from the Fortitude Valley train station and is the heart of Brisbane's night clubbing scene. When we arrived we noticed 633 Ann seemed like your standard club…at least from the outside. Everything was a tad bit dark and almost grungy. But once we made it inside on that fine Friday night we ate our words; Ireland had indeed met Brisbane and 633 Ann was transformed into Latin party central.



A word of warning though: please do make sure you are ready to party all night because it is a late start at 10pm (hope you're not starting early on a Saturday morning), and you can quite literally party all night as things wrap up at 3am. And you're in even luck as it is recurring event every Friday night.

We danced the night away to Latin Bands and top Latin DJ's all whilst sipping Latin cocktails and eating delicious Latin food (it quite literally is a Latin extravaganza!). It's a way to get a taste of Latin America, both atmosphere and culture, without having to fly all the way there. The only slight down side to the entire evening is that there is a cover charge, $5 for students and $10 for everyone else. But once the party starts it is a small price to pay for a whole lot of fun.



It's not often Latin America collides with Ireland, so make the most of it and head out (and down the stairs) into the Latin Cave night at 633 Ann. It'll sure be a great way to spice you're Friday night, whilst getting a bit of culture and having a whole lot of fun too.
