Laneway Series will be visiting Smith Street Mall Darwin again and bring something for everyone including dancing, dining and much more fun to discover on V-Day. The No.2 Laneway Series is all about love to celebrate Valentine's Day. Laneway Series No. 2 will transform The Vic Arcade and Star Village Arcade at Smith Street Mall with beautiful food, music and bubbles!
The Laneway Series is a series of six events taking place in the Darwin CBD, every month between November 2017 to June 2018.
Entertainment on Friday 9th February 2018 from 5pm to 10pm includes Christa Hughes, one of Australia's most versatile and dynamic performers, Darwin's Ad Hoc Ensemble, performing the soundtrack to the French romantic comedy Amelie in the Smith Street Mall, while a French House DJ will spread the love in the Star Village Arcade.
Laneway Series No.2 will also bring some fun for children. "Pavement Paintings with Polly" is a series of portraits based on the concept of strong women. These portraits will be created live and everyone is invited to help create the backgrounds to the works! Ms Polly will then paint a portrait on top of the background. Pavement Paintings with Ms Polly will be set up outside the Live Darwin Creative Hub.
Food stalls will be available in the Smith Street Mall / Star Village Arcade and FREE parking is on offer in the West Lane Car Park from 4pm. Sit and watch performances in the pop-up locations soak up the CBD atmosphere, visit the speciality stall holders, enjoy the food stalls and late night retail shopping, while children can enjoy free activities.

Give Ms Polly a hand on her project
"FUNdamentals of Music" with Melody Mel will start from 6pm to 7.30pm at Live Darwin Creative Hub. Using recycled materials, children can join in music games and learn basic music concepts in these free workshops recommended for ages 4-12. Parental supervision is required during this session. Please RSVP to reserve your child's spot through Evenbrite.
