See the internationally acclaimed Shanghai Ballet perform The Lady of the Camellias for a limited and exclusive season in Brisbane from 5 to 8 December 2024 at the Queensland Performing Arts Theatre (QPAC).



The Ballet is based on the landmark 1848 novel by French author Alexandre Dumas, which tells of a tragic Parisian love affair.

The Shanghai Ballet has a special relationship with the Sunshine State since it is a sister company to the Queensland Ballet , renowned for its classic masterpieces, contemporary ballets, and Chinese historical dance dramas.

The ballet company was founded more than 40 years ago and tours internationally with a repertoire of some of the great ballets including Swan Lake (Derek Deane), Romeo and Juliet (Derek Deane), Coppelia (Pierre Lacotte), La Sylphide (Jean-Paul Gravier), The Nutcracker (Tetsutaro Shimizu), Giselle, Don Quixote, Balanchine and Beyond, The Ode of Joy—Gala Performance.
