Erotica and vampire - my kind of book
Wrath and Beth take the lead in the 12th book in J.R. Ward's # 1 New York Times bestselling Black Dagger Brotherhood series. The royal bloodline is compromised by a grave threat to the throne. Long live the King…

After turning his back on the throne for centuries, Wrath, son of Wrath, has finally assumed his father's mantle - with the help of his beloved mate Beth. But the crown sets heavily on his head. As the war with the Lessening Society rages on, and the threat from the Band of Bastards truly hits home, he is forced to make choices that put everything - and everyone - at risk.

Beth Randall thought she knew what she was getting into when she mated the last pure blooded vampire on the planet, and she knew it was never going to be an easy ride. But when she decides she wants a child with Wrath, she's unprepared for his response - or the distance it creates between them.

While everything is going on with Beth and Wrath, there are side stories happening with Layla and a member of the Band of Bastards - which threatens to expose the BDB completely. A love starting with newish characters Sola and Assail and Trez and Selena.

While there were a couple of storylines that could have been left out (maybe included to keep the series going) overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this next instalment in the series.

The question is, will true love win out... or tortured legacy take over?
