The Kent is a much loved Hamilton institution . Built in 1924, it has undergone many renovations and changes in ownership but still retains the atmosphere of a friendly local watering hole.



The seasonal menu contains a variety of the usual pub classics and has offerings suitable for those on gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan diets. The daily blackboard specials complement the menu and children under 12 years of age have a $9 menu. Our lunch choices were generous servings of fresh and tasty food and the other patrons seemed to be in agreement.



Beers, wines and cider are on offer as well as a range of $15 cocktails with plenty of comfortable seating areas in which to enjoy a drink.



The Kent offers entertainment including trivia nights, live music and a VIP gaming room. From a casual get together to a more formal sit down meal, the Kent is able to cater for functions of 30 to more than 200 people. Special offers and meal deals are offered to those who choose to call themselves locals .



Grab a drink, some friends and food and take a seat on the olde-world veranda to take in the sights of Beaumont Street.
