If you've ever dreamed of becoming an astronaut then the Kennedy Space Center could be as close as you get. For anyone not wanting to go through the gruelling training of becoming an astronaut, the space centre is a great way to experience life as an astronaut, and the wonders of space.

The highlight of many trips is the Shuttle Launch Experience. You'll get to see what it feels like to actually be part of a space launch, through the sights, sounds, and sensations of a real launch. After you've sat through the pre-launch briefing, you'll be taken through the launch sequence. With a combination of video, sound, and simulation, this is a fun experience for kids and adults.

To learn more about the Kennedy Space Center you can take Space Center Tours. Learn all about the center in the past, present, and future, and get a unique insight into everything that goes on here. You'll also have to get along to an Astronaut Encounter, where you'll get to meet and hear from famous astronauts from the past. Hear the amazing stories of these men and women.

For children still holding on to their dreams of becoming an astronaut one day, Exploration Space: Explorers Wanted is the ultimate experience. You'll learn all about the future of space travel, and be inspired to reach for the stars. This exhibition combines a good mix of theater, interactive displays, and large multimedia presentations.

There is so much more to do at the Kennedy Space Center, take a walk through the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, or look at the majestic Rocket Garden, filled with old NASA rockets. You can take the kids to the Play Dome where they'll man their own Rocket playground, or see some of the amazing sights from the Hubble telescope. There is even an IMAX theater to see some amazing space shows. There are special programs and events available, that take the experience even further.
