The once old and daggy has become the new place to go.
It stood like a defiant child, its age in question, possibly a throwback from the 50's yet the surrounds weren't built until the 80's. Lack of history about this building makes the age a mystery.
The outdated Kenmore was heavily scarred from years of use, the original décor, long past due for a make over.
Now after months of demolition, construction and waiting enters the new Kenmore. Its stylish, modern and classy style holds a casual feel. Its appeal is wide ranging, a place where now everyone can dine from large family groups, intimate couples, you and the kids, Gran and Granddad as well, all can enjoy.
This is what has been missing in the western suburbs.
People now fill the new surroundings. The building almost sighs with delight as it probably hasn't seen this many people in decades. At least 200 people are here this evening, enjoying the open air bistro.
There are also people in the lounge, all modern, opens onto the patio, has lots of cozy spots for groups of friends to gather and chat the evening away. In the Back Bar the new atmosphere, though cozy, allows the sports fans to still revel and watch footie.
Back in the Bistro, you notice the warm glow of the lights as day turns to evening. The Christmas decorations sparkle and you notice heaters that surround the room as well as the white painted fireplace, which will come in handy once the weather turns again. And though you have chosen to be outside in the Bistro this evening you can just as easily sit inside.
On this evening, a lovely warm, star lit night in Kenmore, you have become transfixed on the menu. A variety of dishes tempts your pallet and you decide to choose the Salt and Pepper Squid share plate. And you are happy with your choice. It is lightly coated, tender and succulent.
Next your dining experience includes the Curry Chicken and the Chicken Parma, both mouth-watering, nicely presented and tasty.
The servers are plentiful and friendly, the prices are $15 - $25 for most meals and the starters are reasonable. There are gluten free items as well as vegetarian.
Then you take note that there is a large private room for family or business functions that holds 20 people. Hmm, something to think about, that 21st birthday party perhaps?
The Kenmore will also be hosting Christmas dinner which will include a full hot and cold buffet.
Rounding out the season in their transformed state will be not one, but two, New Year's Eve parties. The first a Masquerade Ball and the second a more subdued Cocktail party. Whatever your choosing, you will find it here for ringing in the New Year, complete with entertainment. They don't have a website but you can call them with all your inquiries.
Come and transform your opinion of the new and improved Kenmore.
