The evergreen classic The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling has been released by Disney in 3D across cinemas in April 2016. We went to see the afternoon show at the George Street cinemas. For one, I'm not terribly impressed with the awkward and unglamorous glasses required to view 3D movies and most of the the 3D movies I've seen in the past looked exactly like their 2D counterparts!

Directed by Jon Favreau, Neel Sethi plays Mowgli with Bill Murray as the loveable Baloo this breathtaking Disney movie make use of the gorgeous computer generated images (CGI) based on 3 dimensional imagery for a visual masterpiece. All the scenes feel all too real including the falling rain drops on Raksha, the motherly wolf. I spent the next hour or so enthralled by seeing one of my favourite childhood stories come to life like never before. Evergreen songs like Bear Necessities help connect this movie with the previous ones.
