He's an Aussie legend, everyone knows at least a couple of songs from John Farnham. There are some fans out there who will remember him from the early days when he was known as Johnny Farnham. He's got some real Australian anthems that when it comes on the radio, every single person listening belts out the lyrics at the top of their lungs. Well, the real John Farnham isn't coming on tour at the moment. However, the next best thing is coming. Craig Boladeras and the Whispering Jacks are presenting the
John Farnham Songbook at The Royale Theatre at Planet Royale.
John Farnham has been wowing audiences for 5 decades now. He has been doing "one last" tour a couple of times too. Craig and the Whispering Jacks have wowed their audiences by taking them on a trip down memory lane when they play all of the best hits. And they haven't been doing a "one last" tour at all! They are being supported by an eight-piece band in the second half of the show. While the first half of the show boasts an acoustic-style performance with Craig Boladeras imitating John Farnham's vocal range and style.
From his early days with Sadie the Cleaning Lady to the Whispering Jack album, there are so many different songs that this tribute act is going to have to tackle. People (mainly women) of all ages will be in the Audience, screaming and cheering along as they sing the biggest songs. And of course, they are going to take the noise levels through the roof when they begin the opening strains of You're the Voice. That's when the eight-piece band are really going to have to take it to the next level. And if there isn't a bagpipe player for You're the Voice, there will be riots.
This epic night out is going to be at the Royal Theatre at Planet Royale on Sunday, August 7th. The show starts at 6pm. Some tickets are $36.44 but there are also other tickets that include VIP booths for four people which come with a bottle of bubbly too. It promises to be a fantastic night of classic songs and sing alongs.
