Beginning on Monday, October 15, this week long event will end with an extravaganza of food and wine tastings, lifestyle lessons, and a fashion parade, on Saturday, October 20, 2012.
Epicurean events held during the week include a champagne appreciation evening at Scrumptious Reads, a French spring dinner party at Taste, a five-course degustation menu at Gerard's Bistro, and a Hokkaido style barbecue in James Laneway with Head Chef Shinichi Maeda of Saké Restaurant .
Saturday's festivities kick off at 10am with Gerard's Bistro launching its new breakfast menu, with free breakfast bites. More fun for foodies includes a coffee mini masterclass with Dean Merlo of Merlo Coffee, organic sausage and suckling pig tastings at Gerard's Bistro, macaron demonstrations with French Twist, wine tastings at Cru Bar and Cellar, and brownie tastings with Dello Mano. Head to Scrumptious Reads at 2pm for the launch of Karen Reyment's new book, The 2013 Foodies' Guide To Brisbane.
