The Italian Bar is home to some truly delicious and nourishing Italian fare! Located on Sydney's North Shore in Willoughby, The Italian Bar Pizza serves authentic wood fired pizza, pasta and natural wines 7 days a week.
The passionate owners and kitchen team believe eating is one of life's great pleasures and take considerable care in creating their traditional pizza bases, flavourful pasta dishes and tantalising desserts.
There are many vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options to choose from and each dish is crafted with the finest seasonal produce and quality local ingredients.
The pizza bases are made with stone ground, organic Australian flour and to ensure a crisp light base, the dough is fermented for three days using a natural 'mother' starter, which pre-digests gluten and starch. The result is a great tasting and wholesome pizza that is easier to digest and better for you. You can also opt for a pizza base made with kamut (ancient grain) with charcoal and dairy free notzarella!
This ethos also extends to the wine list which consists of mostly organic, biodynamic and low intervention varieties. Producers include Moon Wines from Victoria and South Australia's Unico Zello.
The Italian Bar Pizza is also family-friendly with a tasty (and healthy) menu for kids. All the favourites are there including Spaghetti Meatballs and Cheese Pizza.
There are also specials to enjoy - highlights include $10 Margherita Pizza Mondays and Half Price Ragu Pasta Tuesdays ($13), both available for dine-in and delivery. Mums will love the Early Bird Dinner Special where kids can enjoy a free scoop of gelato when legs are under the table by 5.30pm!
If your child loves being in the kitchen, you can sign them up for a Kids Pizza Making Class where they will learn how to operate a stone mill and how to use a natural starter to create dough.
