The Iris Suite at Morella House Bed and Breakfast offers comfortable, affordable, and family-friendly accommodation. The private self-contained suite has two double bedrooms, fully functional kitchen, large bathroom, and a delightfully rustic setting. It has all that is needed and more for a relaxing holiday in South Australia's charismatic Clare Valley wine region.

Morning light streams through the kitchen window
The Iris Suite entwines cosiness with understated grandeur and welcomes guests with modesty and warmth. The ground floor suite features slate floors, timber ceilings with exposed beams, and delicate chandeliers that create atmospheric mood lighting. It is decorated with country charm and is impeccably clean and thoroughly appointed.
The entrance opens to reveal an intimate sitting area where you can settle in for the night to watch television, read a book, or play a board game in front of Fatso, the pot belly wood stove. An archway separates the sitting room from the kitchen, which becomes inundated with the first rays of morning light.
All the ingredients and utensils required to cook up a morning feast are supplied, as well as provisions for a continental breakfast. Particular dietary requirements, be it gluten-free or vegetarian, can be catered for upon request.

A bubble bath before bed
Sumptuous burgundy coloured carpet in the two bedrooms is alluring and the urge to free your feet of shoes and enjoy the softness on your soles is irresistible. Both double beds promise a good night's sleep, but the main bedroom houses an elaborate four poster bed that makes one feel a little bit like royalty.
The spacious bathroom has a shower sized for two and a candlelit spa bath, just the thing for unwinding after a busy day of wine tasting and sightseeing. It is impossible not to feel well-rested and perfectly content here.
Combine all this with thoughtful gestures and attention to detail – a complimentary bottle of locally produced wine, fresh flowers on the dining table, the fire place set and ready to be lit – and The Iris Suite at Morella House Bed and Breakfast makes a lasting impression.

Morella House Bed and Breakfast
It is a part of a stately two storey home constructed with stone collected over many years from demolished buildings in the area and set on 16 acres of natural bushland. Guests are free to roam the property and make use of the tennis court. Pet chickens, sheep, and goats call Morella House home and adore the attention of visitors.
The Iris Suite makes a great base for couples and small groups to explore the Clare Valley, but families, in particular, will find it to be the ideal holiday locale at any time of year. There is an assortment of indoor and outdoor activities to entertain and charm children.
Some such activities include feeding the farm animals, hatching chickens, exploring the grounds, and playing tennis with the equipment supplied. There is also a small collection of books, movies, toys, and board games for quiet nights and rainy days. Morella House prides itself on providing
pet-friendly accommodation, so the whole family is welcome to stay here – including your canine companion (with prior notice).
