I am an academic and writer living in Melbourne. I love to travel and I also love writing about all the things Melbourne, regional Victoria and other parts of Australia have to offer.
Fun Fun Fun
They've got the moves, they've got the songs, they've got the fun... and they are sharing it with us, the audience. Just as it should be when you meet these two fictitious characters, Ben and Carmel Downe. With their blonde wigs and Bob Downe vintage clothes, they will take you through their young lives as the children of two well-known Australians who met one year at Mardi Gras and .....well you can imagine, and if not, all will be explained.
With her wonderful, earthy and powerful voice Stephanie Teitelbaum is the singing star of the show. Together with her brother Dan, they sing, dance and delight their audience with perfectly timed comedy as the love children of Bob and Magda.
The hour-long show seems to fly ever so quickly and you are left with wanting more, much more from these two young performers. You want more songs, more dancing (those Bob Downe moves are just perfect), you want to tap your feet and be made to laugh. You leave on a high and feel good about the world - a world where love is love is love and it doesn't matter who or what you are. This is the message that comes out through this very fun and entertaining show.
There are still a few tickets left for Saturday's show, so hurry and book by calling (03) 9660 9666 (the online booking system is showing sold out but there are still a few tickets left). Otherwise, you may have to wait until the next time this sister and brother duo make their appearance on the stage.
