The Hi-Fi Brisbane in West End is a great live music venue where you can see gigs by established acts and even discover a new musician.

What a fantastic night out I had with my good friend last Sunday night. The main event was Robben Ford (an international blues guitar hero) but I found that the second supporting act, Mr Ben Salter of Brisbane, was probably even more enjoyable. With songs and lyrical content relating to our beautiful city, the 199 bus route to the city and a true troubadour's skill for lyrics, Ben was an absolute pleasure to see and to hear.

I was exceptionally impressed with the vocal skill he brings to bear in the song West End Girls, from his debut solo album, ‘The Cat’. For more information about Ben Salter, his new album and his upcoming gigs, see his website:
