I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.
The historic hotel (image JW)
is a beautiful building in a picturesque setting overlooking the river in the small historic mid-north coast town of Gladstone. Originally (1873) the Gladstone Inn became the Gladstone Hotel in 1878 and now contains some quirky pieces and historical items such as a bell from Trial Bay Jail and an anchor from a wrecked ketch.

menu contains options suitable for those on gluten-free, vegetarian and/or vegan diets. The hotel prides itself on the quality of its food offerings, using fresh local produce and making all desserts, sauces, aioli and marinades from scratch.

There is a specials blackboard that features oysters when available.
The Heritage Hotel is an important part of the local community providing entertainment in the form of trivia nights, meat raffles, member draws and live music on Sunday afternoon in the beautiful beer garden. The team support local sporting groups and environmentally friendly initiatives. The staff are friendly and welcoming to the locals and visitors alike.
