Now it's summer and time to enjoy the long hours of daylight, warm sunshine, cool beaches and soon enough - the holidays. These are just some of the things we love about summer, but why not celebrate it now, before the mozzies come?

The Haven is appropriately named

Terrigal's 'The Haven' is a beautiful place to enjoy the best of summer amidst a stunning coastal landscape. This coastal gem is situated up over the hill beside Terrigal Beach. Here you can begin the day with a lazy BYO breakfast by the beach. Public tables, seats and BBQs are available for your enjoyment, overlooking the ocean. The small beach is perfect for children to swim, and is also a treasure for snorkelers to spy local fish and other marine life. Protected by headland the beach is largely calm, clear and a quiet retreat compared to other popular beaches.

If you're feeling more energetic there is a walking path for you to follow around the headland and up to the skillion. With lookouts along the way there's ample opportunity to enjoy the spectacular coastal views. The sports oval also provides space for you to play your own game of cricket, or join someone else's.

If you want to escape the crowds why not visit The Haven during a weekday? Just moments away from Terrigal's esplanade, the relaxed atmosphere makes for an enjoyable outdoor getaway, even if it's just for an hour after work.
