I don't usually binge watch TV, but for this, I made an exception. Although I have not read Margaret Attwood's book (although I'm very much compelled to now), I imagine that her writing is exceptional. If the series is anything to go by, Margaret Attwood is a notable author worth reading.

The way the scene is set in the first five minutes of this series gets you hooked straight away. You are immediately taken into a scary, scary world where are woman's worth and status is based purely on their ability to reproduce. The series does delve into some further issues that relate to all of us. It is poignant, relevant and surprisingly absolutely inspirational in parts.

All I will say is this. If you are a woman of the world, or a man that loves a woman of the world, and you are both into compelling, gripping stories that make you think. Then watch The Handmaid's Tale. You will be nailed to your lounge chair whilst you watch it.
