Hard to define but well worth listening to
This four-piece call themselves difficult to define, and I agree. I've listened to some recorded tracks and heard them live, and one thing is apparent, their style is steeped in Rock'n'Roll.
Their website says "Under the umbrella of alternative music, they flit from intricate and delicate, to sparse and epic, to grungy and trashy." I'm genuinely impressed by what I've heard, especially live, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Playing regularly in Brisbane and on the Goldy, their live sets include long jams that keep people moving on the dancefloor. I saw them play recently and thoroughly enjoyed their set. With a five-song EP in the final stages of production, these guys are worth looking out for.

I wouldn't call 'the-halls' difficult to describe.
I'd just call them haz-been crap.
Seriously ...yu can't crack this genre just shy of 40.
There's under 25's doing it for real.
The chick can't sing (or play) but gotta say the guitarist is an ab crack up.
Flops his mop around like miss vegas lol!
