If you've ever been to The Grounds of Alexandria then you'll know its beauty and now, for Christmas, this re-vamped designer shopping and eating zone is turning into a winter wonderland festival for kids.
There's no need to dream of a white Christmas when you can experience the magic of the garden arbour with its fairy lights and fountain transformed in a snow dome tunnel fitted with snow machines. Run through it and capture some stunning photos.
The elves are busy decorating ready for Santa's arrival as he calls The Grounds home and invites you in for your family photos (pets and all) with treats for those on his nice list. Plenty of surprises from The Grounds will also be thrown into the mix.
Festive cupcake and gingerbread cookie decorating classes, as well as pizza making, will educate the little ones in a fun and engaging way. They will learn where ingredients come from and how they are used as well as tips and tricks.
Free entertainment will have everyone in a Christmas frame of mind (if somehow you're not already) whilst the Christmas markets will allow for last minute gift purchasing. Leather monogramming, fashion, wicker handbags, jewellery, natural skincare and a whole lot more will have you opening your wallet and, in the spirit of Christmas giving, charity gift wrapping stations can be utilised.
It's a wonderful time of year and delicious too with The Grounds serving up dinner from the barbecue and the wood-fired ovens with drinks from the Garden Bar whilst the patisserie team brings Instagram-worthy seasonal specials to satisfy the sweet toothers.
Throw on a festive costume as there are best-dressed prizes to be won, along with other prizes for those getting down on the dance floor and be sure to say hello to the cheeky macaw at The Potting Shed and visit resident pig Kevin Bacon (no offence to the actor) with his farmyard friends residing next to the arbour.
