This coffee shop does a remarkable job of being pleasant even though its position would seem to make any ambiance impossible. Set around the escalators going down to Spotlight and Home Hardware, it spreads out over the lobby with clusters of tables here and there.


It's great place to have a rest if you've been buying up downstairs or been into Rug a Million getting confused (so many rugs). Do take a look in the Art Shop too. It's just beautiful.


The coffee is good, the food serves generous. In fact I found the wraps way too large. Half the size would have been plenty.


You can also sit outside, which may suit smokers but I didn't think a view of the car park was particularly tempting.


If you take photos or make a comment and like The Ground Bean on Facebook, you can get your next coffee half price. That could be a great deal if you live locally. I'm not sure if there's a limit to how many times you can do this though. You'll have to go in and find out.
