The Grove Train has opened in Frankston, replacing the "Ha'penny Bridge Irish Pub and Restaurant" on the corner of Wells Street, just opposite White Street Mall on the outer edge of the Hoyts Centre complex. A great place of meeting up with friends of all ages.
The restaurant is open and inviting and the staff are welcoming and available to help often anticipating your needs. We arrived with a pram, no questions were asked when they directed us to our table they simply removed the excess chairs and made it easy for us to place the pram close to the table.

There is plenty of room for dinners and you don't get that feeling that you are also participating in the next tables conversation because the tables are placed far enough apart to allow a bit of air through! There is a variety of seating to suit couples or larger groups. And on a fine day there is also Alfresco dining.
I was duly impressed by this restaurant, and it wasn't until I looked up their website that I discovered that they were part of a franchise and there are 13 in Victoria and 5 in Queensland. Who knew, but it is a homegrown restaurant franchise so maybe it has a quintessential Australian feel so you don't get that chain restaurant feel
