What do you get when you cross Napoleon Dynamite and John Walters?

Give up?

You get The Greasy Stranger !

And it's one of the most hilarious, disturbing, gross, demented, absurd, sickening, outrageous and quirky American black comedy horror films to come out of 2016.

Directed by Jim Hosking (ABC's of Death 2 & Renegades), who co-wrote this absolute gem of a film with Toby Harvard (Downton Abbey & High School), the film focuses on the bizarre lives of Big Ronnie, played by Michael St. Michaels (The Video Dead & Alex & Emma) and his son Big Brayden, played by Sky Elobar (Renegades & Don Verdean), who run a dodgy Disco Walking Tour. During this time, Brayden falls head over heels for a sexy lady, by the name of Janet, played by Elizabeth De Razzo (Eastbound & Down & The 33) and soon finds himself competing against his father for her heart.

Unfortunately for Brayden, Big Ronnie is a pure "Smoothie" whose sex drive is geared towards "Hootie Tootie Disco Cuties", such as Janet and she soon finds herself going back and forth between the two strange men, breaking up with the other each time. To make matters worse, there is a horrific killer on the loose, by the name of The Greasy Strangler and no one is safe!

This film is amazing, with its incredibly talented cast, whose characters are so well fleshed out, especially Big Ronnie, if you get my drift, *wink, wink*. Even the side characters have such big personalities, that it seems like everyone in it is truly a star. The Greasy Strangler also has a weird, yet catchy soundtrack, crazy and sometimes disturbing effects, as well as so many quotable and hilarious lines in it that you too will find yourself eating a beautiful meal and telling the cook that "It needs more grease!".

I cannot begin to emphasise how much I thoroughly enjoyed this film and I recommend it to everyone old enough to view it, even if you don't think this film is for you, it is an absolute triumph in American cinema and just has to be seen.

The Greasy Strangler will be released Australia-wide in 2017 by the one and only Monster Pictures .

The Greasy Strangler is rated R and is restricted to viewers aged 18 and over, as it contains high impact themes, violence, sex, nudity and coarse language.

10/10
