There's an eight-piece band based in Brisbane called The Good Ship. Formed in 2009, they released their debut album in 2010 and are about to embark on a tour to release their second album "O' Exquisite Corpse".

The band is well-known for putting on incredible, energetic live shows, playing to packed out audiences both at home and interstate. The new album offers up eleven tunes ranging from sea shanty to alt-country to gypsy-infused folk. My favourite tune so far is "Sin City Sweetheart".

The tour starts on the Sunny Coast, and they play in three states on the east coast over July and August:
Friday 29 June - Sol Bar, Maroochydore - with StormChasers.
Friday 6 July - Northcote Social Club, Melbourne - with The Bon Scotts & The Stillsons.
Saturday 14 July - The Zoo, Brisbane - with StormChasers & The Bon Scotts.
Friday 3 August - Great Northern, Newcastle - With Sunday School & The Heavies.
Saturday 4 August - Good God Small Club, Sydney - With Doc Holliday Takes The Shotgun & The Heavies.
Saturday 11 August - The Rails, Byron Bay.
Sunday 12 August - Nimbin Hotel, Nimbin.

Pick up a copy of the album at a gig!
