Hosted by Palaeontologist Professor John Long from Flinders University, the South Australian Museum in partnership with Road Movie Mobile Cinema is presenting a free movie screening of Disney Pixar's The Good Dinosaur on the Museum's North Terrace Lawns on Thursday 26 April 2018 commencing at 6 pm.
The Good Dinosaur is a 3D computer-animated drama adventure film set on a fictional Earth where dinosaurs never became extinct. The film follows the story of a young Apatosaurus called Arlo who meets a human friend and they go on a series of adventures facing danger and daring. This is a feel-good story that shows "...a single moment can change history. A single kindness can change everything".
The Good Dinosaur features the voices of Raymond Ochoa (Kung Fu Panda 2), Sam Elliot (Hulk), Anna Paquin (The Piano), AJ Buckley (Happy Feet), Jeffrey Wright (The Hunger Games) and Frances McDormand (Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted).
Dinosaur rEvolution will be open until 6 pm providing a great opportunity to visit the exhibition then settle down on the lawns for this free screening.
Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase from the Museum Cafe, all you need to bring along is your pillows, blankets and cushions and get cosy for a great movie event.
The Museum is accessible by public transport, however, metered parking is available on Kintore Avenue and Victoria Drive or Wilson Parking is right across North Terrace with night parking just $7.50.
This is a smoke and alcohol-free event. Bookings are not required for the movie, just come along and enjoy. Tickets to Dinosaur rEvolution are $15 adults, $12 concession, $5 children aged 3 - 15 and free for children under 3. A family pass including 2 adults and up to 3 children is $35.
