Funk on down for great music at this FREE Festival
Get into the groove with blues, folk and funk at The Gold Coast Acoustics Music Festival on September 16 with six-piece brass section, Junkadelic. And it's FREE admission.
The Junkadelic Brass band, hailing from Perth, will host a free junk percussion workshop at the event to be held at Country Paradise Parklands, Nerang. It's a fantastic opportunity for participants to learn a song with the band and perform on stage with them. Little kids and big kids alike can let loose banging on drums made from recycled junk.
Junkadelic are well known on the music festival circuit for their funky rhythms played on percussion instruments made from recycled items. Junkadelic have their musical base in traditional New Orleans street music, combining tasty funk grooves with Latin and hip-hop flavours to get you down on the dance floor. Rowdy vocals round out the band's explosive original compositions to create brass band music with a unique twist.
