'The Girl from Oz' starring RuPaul's Drag Race Star 'Courtney Act' is in Adelaide for three shows only as part of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival from June 16th - 18th. Courtney Act takes you over the rainbow and down under in her new show The Girl from Oz. It's a celebration of Australian music at its best. When you say Australian music, most people think 'Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree', but Act celebrates the great Australian singers in her show.

Opening the show with Olivia Newton-John's 'Xanadu', Act takes songs from Kylie Minogue, The Divinyls, Adele and puts her own spin on them, but it's the rendition of Sia's 'Chandelier' that will leave guests amazed. When Act sings, she melts the audience and leaves guests wanting more.

Having seen her in 2003 on Australian Idol, fans already know Act can sing and this show is no exception. The hits are belted out with passion and exceptional delivery of already loved songs. Act rocked along with the audience to the Idol favourite 'You Shook me All Night Long' by ACDC and also bought The Bee Gees classic 'Staying Alive' into today's era with a brand new take combining 'Fifty Shades Darker' with Lana Del Rey.

Act had three costume changes and each was better than the last, but it's the end of the show that brings a little push to the boundaries with 'Physical' directed to a lucky young male of the audience. Act expresses sex appeal and sass and completely owns the stage.

Not only does Act have an incredible voice but between costume changes, the audience gets to watch comical skits about politics, celebrities and commercials. Courtney wants people of America to know which artists are pure Australian talent. Act's show is beautifully comical right to the last drop.
