The Gigalees Crazy Circus Show (for kids)
They're a children's group who have been performing for more than a decade and their name sounds like 'wiggly'. Can you guess who they are?
The Gigalees are a children's entertainment duo who have toured with industry heavyweights like
Barney and
Brum the car . With more than ten years of performances under their belts, Wilma the musician and Daisy the acrobat have perfected their brand of frenetic, vaudeville-esque humour.
The show combines a variety of skills and activities sure to delight children. The Gigalees juggle, stumble, act, clown and joke their way through a comedy performance that is heavily influenced by the physical slapstick humour of the 1920's. Wilma and Daisy have been compared to
Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis and their show has been described as '
Benny Hill for kids'.
The Gigalees won the Best Kids Show award at Comedy@Trades for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2009. They return for the
2011 Sydney Comedy Festival after performances at the
Edinburgh Festival Fringe .
Shows will run between 11 and 21 April from 10.30am. The venue is
Parade Studio (
