Looking for a unique gift for the friend or family member that has almost everything? Then look no further than in Pakenham. located at 33 Boramor Court Pakenham is a New Age oasis for those of us parents with young children and prams or those of us just too daunted to enter the beautiful, but crowded shop front in John Street Pakenham owned by the same individual.

The Gift Haven shop front is well worth a visit, always jam packed with stunning treasures that beckons me to enter. I dare not venture in with my young man unless I have a very rare child free day or am shopping with another adult. Imagine, if you will, a small, cosy shop with aisles crowding in so close to you that you have to turn sideways to navigate them and every shelf artfully arranged with visually stunning arrays of breakable items of every hue and colour of the rainbow just asking to be touched. Now picture a toddler strapped in his pram with his little grasping arms outstretched as his senses are overwhelmed by all the colours and smells of this wonderland. The shop is a joyous experience and a parent's worst nightmare all rolled into one.

Lucky for me I recently stumbled across their factory outlet, , located on the opposite side of town in the more industrialized area of Pakenham. certainly holds its own in giving my senses a visual workout similar to its shop front counterpart, but without the stress of inadvertently bumping into and breaking stock due to its wider aisles, expansive open plan layout, and plenty of room to manoeuvre prams and wrangle children. As a parent I know I should set a good example for him, but I felt like a hypocrite asking him not to touch when I found myself actually picking up an item and admiring it up close. Knowing that I have trouble resisting the temptation to touch every visually stimulating item in the shop and without the deep pockets I would need if he unwittingly broke something, we simply stay out of the shopfront.

offers a lot more variety and some more adventurously larger items than the store is able to offer its customers. To best sum it up is to imagine a new factory space filled with statues small and large, books, incense, candles, tarot readings, CD's, dream catchers, wind chimes, tarot decks, clothing, crystals in various forms both natural, polished, and carved, jewellery and extremely helpful personal service. There are just so many beautiful objects that in my awe and wonder I have probably missed something.

Whilst I have not experienced a tarot reading, the staff are always very helpful, with staff members coming from a variety of new age backgrounds, and if they are unsure of something there is always another staff member happy to fill in the knowledge gap.
The other bonus to visiting the warehouse instead of the shopfront is the ample parking; even during the Christmas rush I have never had an issue finding a parking spot close by.

Opening hours are 10am till 5.30pm Monday to Sunday and even though I encourage a personal visit just to benefit from the peace and tranquillity that all the staff members strive very hard to maintain you can also find them online here to have a sticky beak or give in to temptation and shop.

For those of you who are lucky enough to have a child free day pop into the store at 3/15-21 John Street Pakenham and if they don't have what you are looking for the staff are always more than happy to call the warehouse to see if they have what you are seeking in stock or they will order it in for you.
