Catch a star studded cast in a quirky dramedy
Let's face it. There's been a bit of a dry spell in new movie releases and of course, opportunity to even get to a movie of late. That spell is now over. Dendy Canberra is open. And there's so much to see.
Top of my list? Getting to the preview screening of The French Dispatch at Dendy on 30 November.
The French Dispatch looks quirky but given it's written and directed by Wes Anderson (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Darjeeling Limited) that's probably no surprise. The movie brings to life four stories published in the last ever edition of the fictional magazine, written by and for Americans living in France.
Preview screening of The French Dispatch at Dendy Canberra
The movie has been described as a "love letter to journalists" and has an all-star cast including Frances McDormand, Adrien Brody, Bill Murray and Timothée Chalamet. Shot on location in south-west France, I expect the scenery to be equally impressive.
Part comedy, part drama and part romance, the 30 November preview screening is served with a complimentary glass of bubbly and a copy of the titular magazine. I can't wait!
