The Foxy Bean I had never heard of the place but they raved about it's generous breakfasts and perfect coffees. I did end up popping in one day for a takeaway breakfast and while it was good, I didn't realise what I was missing until a chance business meeting brought me back to this beautiful brunch spot in Woolloongabba.
With multiple seating areas, you will be able to find the perfect spot to suit your mood with tall stools at the window (on top of faux grass), moody indoor couch settings and a shady outdoor area in the breeze. The service was very polite and attentive as you order at the counter and our when coffees and meals were brought out, they looked and smelled incredible.
The Bushman's Benedict with Chipotle braised beef cheeks and pork savoury mince, poached eggs and on sourdough bread was my choice and I was really happy with my meal. There was an abundance of the delicious savoury mince and I struggled to finish it. My business date ordered a basic scrambled eggs with bacon and it was perfect for her. When I return, I will be trying the
Hello Haloumi with haloumi, avocado salsa on sourdough.
The Foxy Bean converts itself into a neat little tapas bar from Thursday to Saturday from 6:00pm. With menu items such as
Toasted Brioch with Thyme Labne and PX Syrup and
Truffled Salami with Sourdough and Divine Dairy's Organic Double Cream Brie I will be back as soon as I have an excuse.
This little cafe and bar has earned it's reputation as a hotspot in the Woolloongabba area with locals taking their tipple in the evening then slinking back in the morning for a breakfast hangover cure.
