Independent theatre maker Allan Girod will play host and manager and open the Art Gallery of Western Australia theatrette doors to create 'The Flaming Locomotive', Perth's newest inner-city Fringe World venue for 2016.This exciting new venue is within easy reach of the popular Urban Orchard, Perth Cultural Centre and the Fringe World box office and will allow audiences to enjoy air-conditioned comfort within the intimacy of a 90 seat theatre. The Flaming Locomotive will play host 8 'flaming' shows from the 2nd to 20th February 2016. Festival-goers can choose from a range of evocative and eclectic shows, including comedy, theatre and cabaret offerings. 2 Ruby Knockers, 1 Jaded Dick - This widely popular award-winning show is presented by Tim Motley and is part comedy, part mind-reading, part magic, part storytelling, and all gritty retro 1930's noir! Think Boardwalk Empire meets Naked Gun meets Derren Brown. Based on a story by Dashiell Hammett. Absolutely - This critically-acclaimed production tells the touching, true and laugh out loud tale of how Allan Girod, an extreme introvert, became a performer in Cirque du Soleil. Ahead of the Class - Allan Girod returns in this masterful new production. He's a Social Studies teacher par excellence, but one day history comes knocking and suddenly the classroom is smaller and more treacherous than it should be. Love and Hate -'Love and Hate' features three new dynamic duologues from award- winning playwright Damon Lockwood. Presented by Lockwood Productions, it stars some of Western Australia's most talented actors, including Talei Howell-Price, Benj D'Addario, Emily Brennan, Chris Sansoni and Salacia Briggs. Richard McKenzie - A Sting in the Tale - This is an adventure about conspiracies, The Smashing Pumpkins, buried treasure and having the last word. Presented by Julz Hay. Straight Outta Dublin - If you've ever wondered what happened when Mary Bourke met Tupac Shakur in Dublin, or why Jay Z is the worst thing to happen to East coast hip hop – or how to live your life with the super confidence of The Notorious B.I.G – then this is the show for you. The International Comedy Club - Hosted by Mary Bourke and Simon Clayton is an unbeatable night of top class comedy. The Naked Truth - In this interactive show, Taryn Ryan bares all with frank sincerity (and a certain amount of over-sharing) in her fearless pursuit of answers. This is a story of art, air-brushing, humanity, and naked bodies.Tickets for each show are now on sale through Fringe World; click here to make a booking. Early bookings are advised to avoid disappointment. For more information on The Flaming Locomotive, head to the official Facebook page,
