Einstein may not have known much about fine design but he certainly understood Energy, and plenty of energy will be on display, along with creativity, at
The Fine Design Market at Manningham City Square (or MC˛ as it's known to the energetic) from September.

Inspiration comes from interesting sources. With Newton it was an apple, with Einstein it was reportedly Mozart's music, but for The Design Market's creators, Manningham residents Michele Stagoll and Susie Lunt, it was cupcakes and craft. An afternoon get-together with their creative friends got them thinking about crafty people making a living from their creative outlets and ultimately led them to establish the market. Their mission? Providing emerging and established designers, artisans and artists with the opportunity and space to exhibit and sell their original wares.
Michele and Susie tapped into the new and vibrant MC˛ development, a community hub that will house an art gallery, cafes, community organisations and a library, and the creative duo will present their fledgling bazaar to the world at the MC˛ Community Open Day on Sunday 16 September from 11am to 2pm.
You'll find everything from fashion to photography and art to accessories. If it's handcrafted, individual, beautifully designed and presented you'll probably find it amongst the 50 stylish stalls that will grace the MC˛ Civic Plaza on 16 September and every second Sunday after that.
Here's a glimpse of some of the crafty contributors.
