The Fabulon is wearable art showcase which has been part of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF) for three years now. This very special and unique fashion event features queer and disabled designers and is produced by Tenfingerz.

The Fabulon
Sarah Seahorse

Tenfingerz works in collaboration with artists from different disciplines to create fabulous and outrageous live art spectacles. She is a director, producer, stylist and performer who creates events which challenge the mainstream fashion industry and celebrate inclusion, diversity, community and self-expression. Tenfingerz uses fashion as a medium for social change.

Whilst The Fabulon is only in its third year, Tenfingerz has created events for Melbourne's underground fashion scene for five years now. These events have been lauded as unmissable on the fashion festival calendar.

This year The Fabulon features costumes by award-winning makers from The Alkira Wearable Arts Group and World of Wearable Art award winners Sarah Seahorse and Luna Aquatica. The event will also feature local independent sustainable fashion labels GooLife, Fizzy Fingers, and Fruitstoop/Nhoj Repsog who will all be releasing their latest collections.

An immersive experience, The Fabulon will begin from the moment you line up to enter. You will be taken on a sensory journey including sound, vision, and lighting as well as performance. The Fabulon "Adventures in the Uncanny Valley" will be fashion as you have never experienced it before.

Doors will open at 8pm and the show starts at 9pm. Tickets are available through the VAMFF festival site.
