The Ethics of Style, held at The Light Factory Gallery , is an exhibition that explores the relationship between sustainability and wearable art.  

Curated by Sigrid McCarthy, the aim is to highlight the notion that sustainable fashion can engage in creativity while also being functional, stylish and aesthetically pleasing. For more information on the exhibitors, check The Light Factory Gallery's website .

Opening drinks take place on Sunday 23rd June 2 – 4 pm.


In conjunction with The Ethics of Style exhibition, there will be two accompanying workshops:

Refashioning Workshop

A refashioning workshop run by Peppermint Magazine's Leeyong Soo will take place on Saturday 20th July.

Tired of your limited wardrobe but have no funds for new threads? Or do you have stacks of clothes that you never wear but are too good to throw out?

Join Leeyong Soo, blogger at Style Wilderness and contributing writer and stylist at Peppermint magazine , in a workshop on refashioning and updating your wardrobe. With a little bit of know-how, some sewing skills, fabric scraps and a liberal dash of inspiration, you'll be well on the way to creating a unique, low-cost collection.

PRICE: $60
TIMES: 1st workshop will run from 10am to 12:30pm & 2nd workshop will run from 1:00pm to 3:30pm.

Fashion Illustration Workshop


A fashion illustration workshop run by artist Angie Rehe will take place on Saturday 27th July.

PRICE: $110
TIME: 10am – 4pm
